Manufacturing Engineer

Due to continued expansion, Photonic Products Ltd has a vacancy for a Manufacturing Engineer based at our UK Headquarters, Hatfield Broad Oak, near Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead improvements across the production floor, evaluating, designing and implementing manufacturing processes, generating process documentation and creating production standards. This is a "hands on" role requiring good troubleshooting skills and specific knowledge of the requirements related to the production of small electro-mechanical assemblies.

Other tasks will range from specifying tools and equipment to recommending and/or designing production jigs and fixtures.

Achievement of key metrics and KPIs, including productivity improvements, delivery date adherence and waste reduction will be a key focus of the role.

The ability to lead and motivate teams, communicating at all levels within a business, is a prerequisite, as is creating a continuous improvement environment.

Qualified to at least HND/HNC level in Engineering, or equivalent experience, the suitable candidate will be able to make an immediate and significant contribution to the further growth of the company.
